UP CLOSE FROM A DISTANCE
2022 | Solo Exhibition | Hopkins Center for the Arts

OPENING NIGHT - MAY 12 | 6-8PM
EXHIBITION MAY 12-JUNE 18, 2022

From 2020-2022 during the pandemic Carolyn created a collection of 28 paintings. This series of paintings addressed the isolation she felt during the social distancing of COVID and her drive to recapture a sense of connection with community.
A sixteen page full color catalog of the collection and the stories that accompanied them was produced for the event.
In collaboration with the exhibition at Hopkins Center for the Arts we hosted an Artist's Talk on May 7th, 2022. The interview took place at Carolyn's studio and art salon in the Historic Chauncey Griggs Mansion on Summit Avenue in Saint Paul. Jim Clark the Visual Arts Manager from Hopkins conducted the interview with members from the art center in the audience.
